Repository and Self-Archiving Policy

Elicit Journal supports the broad dissemination and accessibility of scholarly research. Authors retain the right to deposit and share versions of their published work in institutional repositories, subject repositories, academic repositories, and other non-commercial repositories of their choice.

Authors are permitted to deposit the following versions of their work:

1. Submitted Version (Preprint): Authors may deposit the manuscript submitted to Elicit Journal in a suitable institutional, subject, or other repository.
2. Accepted Version (Author Accepted Manuscript): Authors may deposit the final manuscript accepted for publication following peer review.
3. Published Version (Version of Record): Authors may deposit the final published version of the article, including the publisher's PDF, subject to the applicable Creative Commons licence and copyright terms.

Embargo: Elicit Journal does not impose an embargo period on author self-archiving. Authors may deposit permitted versions immediately upon publication.

Acknowledgement and Citation: When depositing a version of an article, authors are encouraged to provide the complete bibliographic citation of the published article and include a persistent link to the official journal webpage and DOI, where available.

Copyright and Licensing: Authors retain copyright in their work unless otherwise agreed. All deposited versions must retain the applicable copyright and licensing information associated with the article. Where an article is published under a Creative Commons licence, the terms of that licence continue to apply to deposited copies.

This policy is intended to facilitate responsible scholarly communication, increase the visibility and accessibility of published research, and support institutional and subject-based repository practices.
